Eugenie is our lead Dental Therapist (formerly called ‘School Dental Nurses’)
Dental Therapists are responsible for providing dental care to children and adolescents. At McIntosh Dental Centre, Eugenie treats teenagers from Year 9 to Age 18 under our special government contract. This basic care includes check-ups, x-rays, cleaning, and fillings. Eugenie is also able to assess and refer your child for orthodontic treatment, wisdom teeth removal, or other complex dental care provided by a dentist.
Eugenie has excellent skills with children and parents and is fantastic at putting teenagers at ease with their dental procedures. Eugenie has a great sense of humour and is able to get alongside her patients to help them overcome anxiety. It is this unique ability that helps her teach her patients correct oral healthcare techniques that help them keep their teeth for life.
Eugenie gained her degree at the Auckland University of Technology in 2006. Eugenie has been with McIntosh Dental Centre since 2008 and we are lucky to have a Dental Therapist of such a high calibre working at our practice.
