If you are in pain and need emergency dental treatment, please call our team on (09) 837 2598 and book an appointment.
Dental problems don’t always arrive with a warning. Whether you’re in pain, have a cracked tooth, or something just doesn’t feel right, we’re here to help, fast.
When should you book an emergency dental appointment?
- If you’re in pain or discomfort.
- If you’ve lost a filling, crown or tooth.
- If you’ve experienced trauma to the mouth or jaw.
- If your gums are swollen or bleeding.
- If your tooth is chipped, cracked, or broken.
Even if it doesn’t hurt, a broken filling or tooth still needs urgent care to prevent infection or further damage.
For more serious injuries like a broken jaw or facial lacerations, please go to your nearest hospital or Emergency Department.
Still not sure if it’s an emergency?
- Call our friendly team who will talk through your symptoms and provide advice on what steps to take.
- We’ll help you decide whether you need to be seen urgently.
- We’re open Saturday mornings to make it even easier to book an emergency appointment.
How to prevent common dental emergencies:
- Wear a mouthguard when playing contact sports like rugby.
- Avoid biting directly into hard foods (like toffee, nuts or hard candy).
- Cut sticky foods into pieces, instead of tearing them with your teeth.
- Keep up with regular dental check-ups to maintain healthy teeth.
What to expect during your emergency visit:
- A same-day appointment where possible, with one of our caring, friendly dental experts.
- Fast pain relief and clear treatment advice.
- Gentle, professional care, with sedation options if you need them.
- A follow- up care plan to help you recover as quickly as possible.
