The Latest in Dental Implants from San Francisco to Auckland

This August our very own Dr Alex McIntosh headed to San Francisco, USA, to work with the highly esteemed Professor Dennis Tarnow. Professor Tarnow is one of the leading Dental Implant researchers and clinicians in the world with over 100 published research papers to his name. He was professor and head of the Dental Implant Department at New York University and is now head of the Dental Implant Department at Columbia University. He has placed over 30,000 Implants in his career. He is in high demand throughout the world and travels and lectures three weekends out of four to teach and speak on Dental Implants.

To be able to spend four intensive days in a mini-residency with Professor Tarnow was an absolute privilege for Dr McIntosh. His time was spent getting the very latest up-to-date information on Dental Implants, the latest biological research and clinical applications based on the research. The residency was limited to fourteen Dental Implant Surgeons from around the world and Professor Tarnow only runs this programme once per year as his time is so in demand, so for Dr McIntosh to attend was an incredibly rewarding experience.

Dr McIntosh is now back on board at McIntosh Dental Centre and is excited to share his newly acquired knowledge and experience with his patients.
